This is Doug, whose portrait Lorraine was recently commissioned to paint. Doug has a lovely bubbly character, which comes over in his portrait.

This is Toto from Toto’s of Sidmouth sporting an example of the gorgeous hand-knitted pullovers they sell.

Here is Lorraine’s recently completed Pastel painting of ‘The Byes’, the beautiful riverside park running alongside the river Sid in Sidmouth.

This beautiful girl is Ruby and her portrait was commissioned as a first wedding anniversary gift (the traditional 1 year anniversary gift being paper).

While most of our clients are based in East Devon, we also regularly post commissioned portraits to customers who live further afield. Please take a look at the Pet Portrait page for prices and details on how to commission a portrait of your dog, cat, horse or any other animal.

We weren’t able to post any of Lorraine’s pet portrait commissions in the run up to Christmas for fear of ruining someone’s surprise gift but now that we’re free to do so here are a couple of little cuties, Badger and Molly…

As well as pet portraits, I am always happy to accept commissions for child portraiture. Here is a family portrait I recently completed in pastels for a customer who discovered our shop while holidaying in Sidmouth.

Here is one of my favourite dog portrait commissions from the summer. This is Chester, a Fox Terrier / Bischon Frise cross otherwise known as a Foxschon!

This is Harvey, a beautiful Labradoodle I was commissioned to paint by three young children (and their dad) as a special birthday gift for their mum. Now is the time to commission a portrait for Mothers’ Day if you want to treat your mum!

Meet Humphrey, a Miniature Wire-Haired Dachshund, and quite a character. Humphrey’s portrait is the latest to leave the studio and, I have to say, I really enjoyed drawing him.
